Give Back: International Tyres Supports Shelter Birmingham

International Tyres supports Shelter Birmingham because we firmly believe in contributing towards a better local community. Shelter Birmingham (local branch of Shelter), is a charity dedicated to ending homelessness in our home city.

Recently, Fiona from Shelter Birmingham visited our office to personally thank us for our contributions. Her visit was not only a reminder of the important work Shelter does every day but also a powerful symbol of the impact we can all make together. They provide legal assistance, housing support, and advocacy, ensuring that vulnerable individuals receive the help they desperately need. Therefore, we feel incredibly proud to be a part of their mission and continue supporting them in their fight against homelessness.

The Growing Crisis of Homelessness

Homelessness continues to be a growing crisis across the UK. For instance, Fiona shared several startling statistics that underscore the urgency of the situation:

• Over 159,000 children in England are currently homeless – the highest number ever recorded.
• Additionally, in the West Midlands, the number of homeless families has doubled over the past five years.
• Furthermore, a family loses their home every 79 minutes in the West Midlands.

These statistics are, without a doubt, deeply concerning and highlight just how essential Shelter’s work is. Through their invaluable services, such as legal advice, housing support, and advocacy, they help families secure safe and permanent housing. Without their tireless efforts, many would face even greater challenges.

How International Tyres Supports Shelter

At International Tyres, we are wholeheartedly committed to supporting Shelter Birmingham through our ongoing fundraising efforts. By making financial contributions, we ensure that Shelter can continue to offer critical services, from legal assistance to campaigns that advocate for better housing rights and standards. As a result, we are directly contributing to positive and long-lasting change within our community.

We believe that everyone deserves a safe, stable home. Therefore, supporting Shelter Birmingham is one of the many ways we give back to the community that has supported us over the years. We recognize the importance of collaboration, and it is only through efforts like these that we can make a real difference.
