International Tyres Successfully Delivers Comprehensive Customer Training Day
On Monday, 9th September 2025, International Tyres organised a highly successful customer training event at our Rowley Regis headquarters. The day exemplified our commitment to supporting our clients beyond simply supplying tyres, as we provided valuable opportunities for professional development, industry certification, and peer networking within the tyre and automotive sector.
Comprehensive Skills Development Programme
The training programme was carefully structured to address current industry needs and regulatory requirements. We facilitated two intensive certification courses designed to enhance our customers’ professional capabilities:
Wheel Safety and Security Certification: Leading Edge delivered an extensive morning session focusing on commercial wheel awareness and modern security protocols. Participants gained thorough understanding of correct wheel installation procedures, maintenance standards, and the potential hazards associated with inadequate practices. Upon successful completion, attendees received the prestigious Society of Operations Engineers Certification, significantly enhancing their professional standing within the commercial vehicle sector.
Advanced Truck Tyre Repair Qualification: The afternoon programme, conducted by Rema Tip Top, provided comprehensive instruction on minor truck tyre repairs according to BSAU159 standards. This practical workshop equipped participants with essential skills for conducting safe and compliant repairs, culminating in the award of the NTDA RTTR Licence—a vital qualification for professionals undertaking roadside tyre maintenance and repair services.
Professional Development Through Practical Application
Our training day emphasises hands-on learning that delivers immediate practical benefits. Yesterday’s programme was specifically designed to address genuine workplace challenges, from enhancing operational safety protocols to mastering specialised repair techniques. Participants departed with enhanced competencies and increased confidence in their service delivery capabilities.

Beyond skills development, the event served as an excellent platform for professional networking amongst our customer base. These gatherings strengthen the broader tyre industry community by facilitating knowledge exchange and collaborative partnerships. By bringing together our customers with industry experts from Leading Edge and Rema Tip Top, we created valuable opportunities for in-depth discussions, technical queries, and personalised professional guidance. International Tyres also took the opportunity to put two of the newer members of our own team through the training, further demonstrating our investment in staff development and long-term expertise.

This one-day course forms part of our wider Truck Training Calendar, which also includes our collaboration with Roadside Safety—delivering the larger and more in-depth courses at their dedicated training centre.
