Give Back: Birmingham Mind
As part of our monthly Charity give back to the local community, International Tyres and Trading selected Birmingham Mind to be our chosen charity for January.
Working with Fundraising Officer, Kerrie, we developed a campaign to donate a portion of our sales from Friday 12th January to be collected and donated to this very worthwhile cause.
In Birmingham and Solihull last year almost 35,000 people accessed services delivered by Birmingham Mind, while 474 people accessed the Mind out of hours crisis intervention service, Talking Space.
Our hope is that this campaign shows our support to those working in the Truck Tyre industry where mental health remains a prominent area of concern amongst lone workers, as well as looking at what more we can do as an employer to support individuals with their mental wellbeing.
Danny Booth, Director of Business Development for Birmingham Mind, said: “We’re so grateful for the support of International Tyres for their fundraising for Birmingham Mind. All the money raised will go directly to people who need support with their mental health in Birmingham.
Our teams can only be there for people through the support of those who fundraise for us, and we’re delighted that International Tyres chose to support us.”
